zapping

what are the zapping rules?
zappable calls are:

under $7

in-state, state-to-state, or international

added to a member's account in the last five days

you can zap one call each day. you need at least one volt in order to zap.

members generate volts each time they make a call. when you make a $1.00 call, you earn 333 volts. if you zap a $1.00 call you consume 1000 volts. by simply making phone calls you'll have enough volts to eliminate 1/3 of your call charges.

you also get volts for dues, 700 per month, or 9,000 if you pay dues annually.

if your call is credited by the m2m system you will not also get volts for it and it will not be zappable.

what happened to the livewire?
the livewire relied on advertising income to deliver volts. the market crash for this type of income made the livewire unsustainable :(
