connecting my phone line

how long does it take to switch my long distance service?
your service is typically changed over within 5 days. we'll let you know if there is any problem.

please note your local telephone company may charge you a fee for switching long distance carriers.

do i have to cancel my previous provider?
you shouldn't, since they are informed by your local telephone company, but do check your bill to make sure they are not charging you anything.

why am i still getting a bill from my previous long distance carrier?
if you receive a bill from another company it means they are carrying some of your calls. you will not see the same charges on your bigredwire account.

to avoid this, go to service status-> and make sure your telephone lines are active with bigredwire for both long distance and local long distance service.

what do i need to do if i'm moving or changing my phone number?
just go to telephone service and add the new telephone number-> the old number will drop out in approximately 60 days.

how can i remove lines from my account?
just go to service status-> and select the line.
